Amy Case, MD, FAAHPM, is the Lee Foundation Endowed Chair of the Department of Palliative and Supportive Care and serves as the Palliative Care Program Chief at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at The University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine.

Dr. Case completed a residency in internal medicine at the University at Buffalo in 2004 and went on to complete a fellowship in Palliative and Pain Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York (2004-2005). Her scholarly focus is on medical cannabis for symptom management in cancer patients, non-medical opioid use, buprenorphine use for cancer pain, and palliative medicine education.

She has chaired national committees and lobbied capitol hill for American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM). She serves as the Associate Editor for Education for The Journal of Pain and Symptom Management. She serves as the clinical director for the Center for Translational Research for Cannabis in Cancer (CTRCC) at Roswell Park Cancer Center, embarking on prospective trial of medical cannabis for insomnia in cancer.
