2020’s Wine College will feature a side-by-side tasting of our organically-farmed library wines: a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from our Grigsby Vineyard in Yountville, and a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from our Collinetta Vineyard just east of downtown Napa. During the event, you’ll walk with the Vintners (virtually) through these two special vineyards, and enjoy a unique deep-dive into the science of growing, harvesting, and making world-class wines.
In our Collinetta vineyard, millions of years and continuous erosion have left the land rich in volcanic ash and rock. Less than 20 miles away, the coveted Yountville Vineyard has a balanced temperature profile that gives cabernet sauvignon a more subtle, gentle, and reserved profile. We’ll share how to sip, smell, and savor differences from these Napa Valley appellations—skills and knowledge you’ll take with you long after these two bottles are empty.
